How to Apply BIAB

Let's walk through the expert steps to achieve flawless BIAB nails:

1. Nail Shaping: Begin by shaping your nails using a Mitty 180 grit nail file. Ensure you achieve the desired shape, whether it's square, oval, or almond.

2. Cuticle Care: Gently push back your cuticles using a Mitty Cuticle Cleaner Drill bit or a cuticle remover cream. Remove any excess cuticle material to create a clean nail bed.

3. Surface Preparation: Using the same Mitty 180 grit nail file, lightly buff the surface of your nails to remove the shine. Pay particular attention to the sidewalls to ensure complete removal of the shine. The nail surface should have a slightly rough texture.

4. Dust Removal: Cleanse your nails to remove any dust using Isopropyl Alcohol or Acetone. Avoid touching your nails after this step to prevent any contamination.

5. pH Balancing: Apply Mitty pH Bonder to the natural nail only. Use a minimal amount and ensure it does not come into contact with the surrounding skin. Allow it to dry naturally.

6. Priming: Apply a thin layer of Mitty Gel Primer to the nail surface. This primer creates a tacky surface for optimal adhesion of the builder gel.

7. Builder Gel Application (Base Layer): Brush on a thin layer of Mitty Builder Gel, ensuring to cover the entire nail surface. Cure for 60 seconds in your Mitty nail lamp. Do not wipe the cured layer.

8. Builder Gel Application (Building Layer): Working on one nail at a time, apply a thin layer of builder gel without curing. Add a bit more gel on the brush and start from just under the cuticle area, spreading it evenly towards the free edge. Use a thin brush like Mitty Minty to manoeuvre the gel. Cure each nail in your Mitty LED lamp using the low heat setting.

Tip: If you experience a heat spike during BIAB application, simply remove your hand from the lamp until the sensation dissipates. Then, return your hand to the lamp to complete the curing process. This helps ensure a comfortable and successful application

For a quicker process, you can begin working on your next nail after 10-20 seconds of curing the previous one.

9. Finishing Touches: Once all nails are cured, apply Mitty gel polish if desired, or proceed with a top coat. Cure for 60 seconds.

10. Final Notes: Remember that curing time may vary depending on the wattage of your nail lamp. We recommend using a Mitty 36W Portable LED lamp or Mitty 96W Cordless LED lamp for consistent results. If you experience any warmth during curing, remove your hand from the lamp until the sensation dissipates before resuming.

Follow these expert steps for impeccable BIAB nails every time.
